fiachra Mac oireachtai


Fiachra Mac Oireachtai is a multi instrumentalist, producer and composer from Dublin. His classical training began at the age of 5, firstly as a violinist and pianist, then going on to work as a percussionist in various orchestras where he began to develop his compositional and arrangement skills.
He then moved to Manchester to study at Salford University where he received a First Class Honors Degree in Popular Music and Recording.

Fiachra is now based in London where he writes, produces and performs his own material under the name Fjokra as well as composing regularly for television and film.

As a commercial composer, Fiachra has worked with major brands such as EE, Casio, BP and The Qatar Financial Centre.


Fiachra's music has been used in several films including Catherine Hardwicke's international production Miss You Already starring Drew Barrymore and the award-winning The Receptionist.

Fiachra has collaborated as a musician, singer, producer and songwriter with names such as Duran Duran, Mick Jones of The Clash and Glen Matlock & Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols.

Fiachra also tours internationally as a jazz pianist playing with singer Annie Bea at prestigious events such as the Oscars pre and after-parties in Hollywood where he performed for legendary film composer Ennio Morricone.
